Where did I say it's their concept??? I think that tweet clearly said that the group will have a school setting and will have similar vibes to newjeans (and some other groups).

 

I think it's quite disappoiting and unoriginal for such a highly anticipated group to be another group with school uniforms and also have newjeans vibes, when there were rumours of them having a cosmic concept...

The art direction of that visual teaser trailer is very new jeans inspired and it doesn't take a genius to admit that  I'm sure the music will be different enough though.

 

Group still looks interesting and I'm glad they are giving the members a chance to individually shine by allowing for unique visual distinctions (bob, blonde hair, etc.) rather than going down the recent trend of having uniform visuals at debut.

the NJ vibes being the SM / heehee template. the way you purposely left out f(x) and RV  

newjeans has literally inspired multiple of groups by now, the teaser gives ditto vibes and that's totally fine. 

sm is known for being .. inspired 

This whole SMTOWN was quite poor to be honest. The company seems to be lacking A LOT of vision these days

 

H2H...I'll save my judgements for their actual debut, but I wasn't really wowed by what I saw. And why wasn't there even a performance...?

 

If they are truly taking the concept direction of the trailer, it will be disappointing as SM will be 1-2 years too late. It didn't feel fresh.

so the 25 (well 9 I guess) male trainees get a performance, but not the new GG?

they are most likely to debut next year, or by the end of the year knowing SM ..  the fact that all those 25 might debut too

Tbh the first thing i thought watching the teasers was "New Jeans", even if NW didnt create this type of concept they re so popular with it, so it's engraved in many peoples mind, and if it was the intention can't really blame them, new jeans success was very inmediate and fast all the companies would like to have that as well, lets hope they do a better job than belift.

 

If this is all there is to them concept wise it may seem dissapointing after unique concepts like their previous groups (aespa and red velvet) but if the music is good i ll listen

the amount of kpop groups right now is ....
