She's allegedly also the only member they actually did that to (it was in 2021 when she was having her solo debut)

 

They trademarked her name in Korean AND English, meaning she can't use her own name if she leaves the company. "Wendy" is not a stage name given to her by SM, it was chosen by her father when she was young and that's the name she used when living in Canada. Really gross move by SM.

I think the problem is Hyo all along... The way her anger is towards her hoobaes and not SM is probably they kept her on the release schedule despite not selling one copies of her music.
