I'm hopeful that BTS flop. Would really end HYBE's smear campaigns and destroy that company. NJZ, LSF and ILLIT would be free.

Girl, this is not the first time HYBE has been obsessed with SKZ  Let me give you the tea:

 

It started way back when TXT debuted and were competing with SKZ for the #1 spot among 4th-gen boy groups. HYBE would constantly mediaplay about TXT, pushing the narrative that they were the "leaders of 4th gen," while publishing shady and passive-aggressive articles about SKZ. I even remember posting about it here at the time.

Then last year, when those HYBE documents leaked, the staff talked about how TXT were supposedly so much better - and even taller - than SKZ. Like they actually came for SKZ's height  They even claimed Yeonjun (a TXT member) was the "perfect idol," and implied that none of the SKZ members could compare to him 

 

And also, this was *apparently* Bang PD's reaction when SKZ won the VMA against TXT in 2023

 

 

They did the same thing with SEVENTEEN. During BTS's absence, when it became SEVENTEEN vs. SKZ for the biggest boy group, HYBE would heavily mediaplay about SEVENTEEN while downplaying SKZ.

 

And now with Cortis - right before their debut, HYBE/BigHit claimed they were a completely unique group and basically called them the first 100% self-produced group, acting like they are the first group in history to have 100 % fully creative control, purposefully disregarding and disrespecting SKZ, who debuted years earlier. Meanwhile Cortis  are not even self-produced and literally have like over 10 credits from outside producers on their songs

SKZ absolutely killed the stage, but the MAMA camera work was ass as always. Lee Know gave it his all to the point where he injures himself while performing, yet the camera barely bothered to show him during his own parts - including his two separate center dance breaks. Meanwhile, they kept focusing on the same members over and over… I also noticed they managed to dye his hair back to black from blonde right before the performance so he wouldn't stand out, while the other members got fresh new colors... They even had Bang Chan randomly singing his chorus line in Chk Chk Boom when he was literally right there. It's been known in the fandom for a long time that JYP has been sabotaging him throughout his career, and sadly this isn't the first time - and it won't be the last.
