I don't get the reason for them releasing a single in December. I'd rather them take a long winter vacation and come back around March.

Also XLOV being a BG releasing GG quality material and kuntie choreo.

Heart Maid was a pleasant listen. Love love love Sweet nightmare, DDU DDU & Happy af. Balloon in Love is still beautiful and was a nice addition that fit perfectly in the second half

Aespa's complaint was that they were overworked and not able to put new music out. They did the entire university circuit in 2025 because SM used them as a bargaining chip to get RIIZE, Kai and H2H booked. They got one single in June and a 6-track EP in September. 
 

Nobody's mad that they're booked - the anger towards SM is because they aren't booked WELL.

Winter has been teasing a Christmas release. They also have their new digital single full of the 3rd tour singles to release. They've hinted at a surprise for their anniversary, which is in 16 days.

 

It's not like this release will prevent them from taking a vacation - they recorded it all forever ago and they won't do any promo since it isn't a comeback.

That makes me feel better. Let them release a random Christmas song while they are resting for the holidays (Gayo stages aside).

Back in the day groups like Target, Snuper and Top Secret were releasing A-tier girl group songs, and look where that got them!

They recorded it right around "Whiplash's" release. I'd bet we'll get the solos on their 5th anniversary and the Christmas single in early December.

Aespa are the #1 artist overall in South Korea this year. Their peak with Dirty Work (19M) was still larger than Blue Valentine (17M).

ILLIT have one top 10 single and they're on a Ciara trajectory with their album sales. BELIFT needs to get them a great title track ASAP.

SM is hemorrhaging talent. MYTRO never debuting, DearALICE getting shelved and the Japanese girl group missing their October reveal and being removed from their March 2026 calendar completely. Their creative team is so great but everything else is a nightmare.
