Honestly, the soundtrack isn't as good as Harlequin. JFAD would have smashed if Close to You was used in the film.

Close to You IS used in the film tho in a rather different performance.

 

It flopped because it was bad. Just like some other pop comeback albums that released this year.

The movie did not highlight the songs in the right way like a star is born.
