The album went unnoticed.

Sis snubbed her own album. 5 months and still no MV's she promised. 

Songs not good enough nor vocally excellent. She's in the limb of being nom or not, and apparently she doesn't have any connections.

I'm actually furious about this. She delivered a good album and the Grammy's are supposed to reward the audio files and nothing else lol. It just goes to show how heavily commercial success is taken into consideration in regards to nominations. It's all smoke & mirrors honestly.

If that was the case then surely Dopamine (which peaked #91 on BB200 and #30 on Billboard R&B Albums Chart) would've stood a chance at best R&B Album over the 3 other nominated albums that didn't manage to chart on the BB200 or even the Billboard R&B Albums Chart?

I haven't looked up who the other nominees are but I'm assuming they're not marketed the same way Normani is. She was expected to be a main girl with hits and sales. She bombed and that puts a stain on every aspect of her career. No one cares if a random r&b artist who was never supposed to sell ended up not selling.

It's a good album but she after being MIA for 5 years she needed to go all out with promotion and show her face everywhere. Instead she just dipped off the face of the earth and let the album fall into obscurity. If it was promoted better it probably could've had a chance.
