There is nothing new right now , all the successful pop songs are at least a couple of months old,  this could really go hard ( at least in UK )

I'd love it if it outperformed Angel Of My Dreams, but looking at the trend of Solo Mix second singles not doing that well, I'm not sure.. especially if the video isn't ready for release date as that was a major part of Angel's impact. 

 

AOMD, obviously, performed much better than Don't Say Love and Forget About Us so she has set herself up strongly for a better 2nd single performance, but unsure if it'll be instantly bigger than Angel.

 

As long as the quality and the creativity is there, it should hopefully connect. The label have clearly invested some budget in to this project and she's working with big names so I'm sure they have a plan for this. 

 

Ideally I would love a Top 5 debut this time, but I would still consider a Top 15 debut a relative success. (I know that commercial performance isn't everything and the quality of the song is most important but we all want her to do well!)

The song isn't for me at all judging by the snippets but it sounds like a GP friendly smash imo which I think is the aim following the more experimental AOMD.

Im not so worried about the debut though . I have a feeling it will do better than AOMD 

 

I think they are releasing the majority of the physicals on release week because the video may not be ready on release day.

 

If they somehow got the video ready in time that would be insane.

I think the only way they could have it ready in time is if it was recorded in a few takes like Perrie's video was in just one

I honestly have no idea what to expect. Like you say the follow up singles for the other members haven't done very well, but AOMd has performed much better than the other first singles.

 

I think a top 20 debut would be great. I know she's got the Jools Holland performance and radio 1 live lounge the week after so hopefully those performances can get some traction on social media.

I feel like it probably won't perform as good as aomd (which had way more hype since it was the debut single and the snippet she promoted was way catchier than the snippet we got this time imo). I feel like the tiktok snippet/ promo strategy isn't hitting as much this time, i'm not as obsessed as i was with the aomd snippet. I hope they somehow manage to have the video ready by friday but it's most likely that the video will drop second week..

To me this song has more replay value than AOMD, easily. That doesn't mean it's the better track, but I keep replaying it all the time.

I'm really intrigued to see how this one pans out. We all thought pre-release that AOMD would suffer a little commercially by being a bit too "experimental" but it actually had the opposite effect and I think it proved to be so successful because of how fresh and different it felt, especially from the Little Mix material. 

 

It'll be interesting to see if a more traditionally structured pop song connects with a wider audience, or if it actually turns out to be a hindrance where people don't find it "interesting" enough.. 
 

I think it really helps that (based off the snippets) the song has a lot of Jade's personality built in to it and that should help it stand out and stop it from becoming too generic.
 

The lyrical tone, cadence, vocal effects and switches from talk singing to head voice is really solidifying her musical stylings because many of those elements are found in AOMD & Midnight Cowboy too, but with enough variances and different genre inspirations that they don't feel too "samey". I've been so impressed with her output so far. 

My expectations are hopefully a Top20 debut with the following performances actually helping both Fantasy as well as AOMD to stabilize. Then I hope for Radio to embrace Fantasy, so that it has a chance to stay inside the Top20 until Xmas songs take over

Less than 5 days to have a wonderful experience again while listening her genius anthems

There are rumours of a Lady Gaga lead single, IDK how true.
