This and Magdalena bay dropping on the same day is peak music 

The reviews are going crazy . Starbuster is nice but i absolutely love Favourite. One of my most played songs of the year. Haven't heard the rest

Their single threads for the album have a decent enough number of replies so I figured a thread would be fine.

I literally found them yesterday on my YT suggested videos wow let me give their discography a proper listen this week 

Cool I like the singles.

Favourite > new one > Starburster > the third single

 

But Starburster is a good hype song training against the punching bag. 

The intense love for the singles (and clearly the album already) made me decide to just wait until the full album to listen, so I'm going in blind! Need to give their last album another listen... really liked it but didn't go back to it much compared to other 2022 releases.

Of course  Pitchfork had to give it a meh score. Truly the pits

This album is getting the WA Blue Weekend treatment I fear 

not their best but really really good. nothing reaches starburster and favourite for me though

Just listened. I really enjoyed it but I'm slightly disappointed. They really hyped up the experimentation and genre-bending aspect of the music and there's really nothing close to Starburster. Still solid. 

diving in now for my second first listen of the night! 

I was once again interrupted by an actually amazingggg conversation with one of my residents lol but now i'm back on track with listening to  this 

okay… it's good, but i can't deny that it's  a bit of a letdown after the phenomenal Skinty Fia tbh. but all the singles are great obvi and so are In the Modern World and Bug  maybe this'll be a grower not a shower tbh

People saying that Starburst was the only standout were obviously LYING. I absolutely loved this on first listen but maybe because I am a complete sucker for 90's music

Romance, Desire and In the Modern World are my faves

 

I really liked this... Death Kink might be my favorite album track, but Romance and Desire are right there too.

Sundowner has Soundgarden/Nirvana instrumentals with Slowdive vocals.  No choice but to stan

This album is amazing! Starbuster Best Rock Song of the year!!

 

I love albums like this that are skipless, straight to the point and an easy listen. Great production too.

Amazing album and the replay value is insane .
