It doesn't matter. Taylor was smart to release new music while touring in Europe. It gave the tour new life and she selling like hotcakes. Midnights was already dying out and it gives her break from radio till TS12.  

I don´t think so in total numbers, no one can beat Taylor in this category

 

But in public conversation and overall cultural impact? It definitely feels like it, both are just constantly being discussed pretty much everywhere now while TTPD weirdly feels very contained in Taylor big fanbase.

 

The Eras tour is the only current project from Taylor that people overall seems very into it.

Looking at their track record ( DSAM failing against Reputation, WWAFAS failing against Lover, HTE failing against Folklore)... things are not in favor of Billie so let's hope it ends up different this time.

Billie has been pulling stronger average per track streams than Taylor consistently since HMHAS dropped. Having the triple of songs is literally the only reason why Taylor have more streams lol

No.

 

I don't understand people saying yes to HMHAS. I haven't seen the album discussed anywhere outside of ATRL  I think it's a great album, but the idea of it overshadowing Taylor when shes at her popularity peak is... a little suspect.

The biggest artist of the year with the biggest album of the year and the biggest tour of the year is being overshadowed? Y'all are so unserious it's actually hilarious

This is the first Charli album to chart for more than 2 weeks and Billie has a terrible track record of the albums falling off as soon as the singles do, good luck booking that long run you speak of  meanwhile only 1 of the 3 is returning (not everybody got there in the first place) to #1 for a 13th week

Musically, not at all. 

 

In terms of sparking social media trends, maybe. 

 

But, overall, TTPD is bigger than both. Even globally, it's been very successful in a short period of time. 

 

And Taylor just went viral and got compared to MJ for having 40,000 people crowding themselves in a hill to watch her show in Germany.

 

But, it's ATRL, so of course people are going to act like TTPD is irrelevant and has nobody listening to it because it has no summer bops on it. Whatever makes people feel better is the right answer.

Most of the time I read about TTPD is people hating on it either here or on twitter, while Brat has positive clout and HMHAS has the critics, so kinda.
