Well, the indie listening parties are happening tomorrow, so a lot of stores have the album, but that doesn't mean they will sell it to customers. Unless you've seen stores that aren't participating in the listening party but are already selling the album?

None of my local record stores are doing events (I'm in Canada) and we only have 4 record stores in the whole city and they are all really ~*~hip~*~ and I doubt they have even ordered the album lol or maybe just 1 or 2. We also have Sunrise Records here which obv will be stocking it. Apparently they will have the clear red

I remember when Smile started hitting stores, and some lucky fans quickly got their hands on the vinyls and CDs, they started to leak almost right away.

With the release still about 48 hours away, the risk of a leak could be pretty high at this point.

 

The photoshoot leaked months before the official announcement , so they managed to keep things under wraps for quite a while.

I wished I lived in the US so I could go to a listening party :(

There's a listening party in my country but it's on the 21st (a day after the album is out) so I didn't bother joining

Does this era feel kind of fast paced to everyone else too?

 

We've gotten 3 music videos in 3 months. Not complaining about that but her eras used to drag out for what felt like forever. 

 

Although I guess it's pretty on brand with the new era of TikTok, where if something isn't a smash on there immediately it seems like almost all artists now quickly move on to the next thing.

Oh please. There is a GREAT album there if the standard edition and deluxe crafted a 14-16 track album. 

 

In retrospect both consumers and critics have realized it's a pretty great album. 

 

 

Who knows what will be said about 143 ten years from now...if anything.
