As a stan would you rather your fave be a chart/numbers obsessed artist (TTPD variants), or would you rather your fave completely let their projects flop and fade into obscurity (Cowboy Carter)?

 

I would rather my fav have the most consistently excellent discography. Both Bey and Taylor have some duds in there.

Quality is the way you build a legacy, not consumption. Once again, Garth Brooks has NINE diamond albums. Does anyone remember who he is? Nope.

There are many artists who are household names that barely have 2 good songs. 

I would rather be Lana and release quality music that is successful but without the level of fame as Beyonce or Taylor, and ride some hot daddy d in the process

That's a loaded question if I've ever seen one 

How about somewhere in the middle? Letting your projects die a quick death without promotion doesn't help secure a legacy but on the flip side being #1 for 20 weeks isn't a necessary feat to be well respected as an artist and businessperson. Finding the balance between carelessness and greed should be the key.

Yes,  MANY people do.  This man is touring stadiums.  Meanwhile some of the "legacy" acts ATRL hypes up couldn't film an arena.  

Beyonce because at the end of the day the music and the art is still there and no one can take it away. As for the other option there wasn't much quality or art to begin with so it's a small sacrifice.

Well based on the actual question in the OP I would like people to actually listen to my music and not forget about it after two weeks, so Taylor in this instance.
