Now these two are comparable, unlike Poker Face and Royals. Still, Roar wins; it's a better song and it felt much bigger at the time, coming from an established artist and all.

Royals shifted the culture and is still talked about and referenced. It changed the dynamics of pop and you can hear its influence to this day.

Roar was a smash and and is an amazing elementary school assembly soundtrack song as far as impact goes.

Can't stand that child's play song Roar, it's so cringe and hollow.

Royals clears!

Y'all are beyond biased and outdated.

Royals & Pure Heroine era completely changed the culture, won 2 GRAMMYs, shaped the current era of music & inspired many artists to be who they are today including Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Halsey, Chappell Roan, Conan Gray, Troye Sivan and MORE.

Roar influenced ABSOLUTELY NO ONE. It aged like milk, feels like an NPC song now, and it's corny to listen to.

Royals was also way bigger in USA.

People just pick on "Royals" because it's overplayed, but it is one of the best songs of the century, and shaped modern pop music

"Roar" is bigger commercially tho

Roar is a hugely successful song, but not remotely a classic

Royals for all, the song that inspired many of the new girls like Olivia.

Roar has not been updated since 2017 though... both were certified Diamond the same year but only Royals has been updated since then. Roar may not be that far from Royals. We'll see once they update it.
