Yes, have you seen their streaming stats? They're part of the fabric of rock music, one of the go-to mainstream bands. So naturally, they have a huge fanbase that isn't exclusively straight, but the straights LOVE Queen.

Ok but Adam Lambert was chosen for Queen partly beside he's a proud gay man a la Freddie Mercury. Queen are 70s and 80s ICONS with visuals of drag etc. in their music videos. Theres nothing straight about Queen!

I refuse to believe that huge parts of the audience at a Queen concert would listen to Adam's very gay solo music. Yes Freddie Mercury is a gay icon, but Queen's success doesn't rely on a queer audience. They deserve their flowers for normalizing gay culture and integrating queerness into the mainstream! But a lot of straights love Elton John and David Bowie and they were NOT heterosexual in the 70s. And as rock music became more conservative, they survived despite being queer artists. At least that's my theory. Or else gay artists like Adam or Troye should be thriving with mainstream success in the industry.

Ghost town is still THAT BOP.

He is underrated AF.

Sadly he doesn't ahve the music to back up his talent... so...

Trespassing was a great album and the original high too. Roses with Niles rodgerd should have been a get lucky level hit...

You think Adam and Troye have released content as good as Queen? No maam. They have not.

we really needed another masterpiece on the level of VELVET though :biblionny:

This song is apparently coming out this Friday (titled Lube), with an EP coming in July

You are absolutely correct. That said, a massive part of that fan base is straight. A lot of the gay aspects of Queen were kind of ignored or just not talked about by a lot of the fandom because they're too busy screaming "mama Mia mama Mia let me go" off key and at the top of their lungs.
