It's funny to think that Katy not announcing is annoying them too. Cause obviously they want to keep posting, but they have to archive at least one post if they do.

This is blatant confirmation that they are going to post the single announcement as post #143. But it's also kind of ridiculous because the whole thing is that people are like "omg this number is randomly appearing everywhere it's a sign!!!111" and if they're going out of their way and bending over backwards to make it happen... gurl.

 

It reminds me of my mother who (unfortunately) has this weird obsession with the time 11:11 and she screenshots her phone and posts it online EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And nobody likes or interacts with it so it's not like engagement farming but she just does it incessantly. Like it literally happens twice every single day for the rest of eternity, it ain't that rare or special. Idk why people gravitate towards these "random" things that are anything but random. It's infuriating to me. The fact that this whole era is based on something similar is already a red flag for me tbh.

I don't think anyone is going to claim it came randomly though. I'm sure she saw the number 143 a few times before she started seeing it more by confirmation bias, and now they're using it as a cute gimmick to keep people interested

The album was met with widespread praise as many critics and fans alike agreed 143 was Perry's true return to form. It also saw success with the release of lead single "Artificial" on June 7, 2024, peaking at number four on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the top ten in several other countries, the TikTok-viral song, "SNAP!" which reached number one in the U.S. and became Katy's first song to top the charts there in ten years, and latter singles "The Current" and "Star–Crossed Lovers", which both reached the top ten several places as well with "The Current" hitting number one in the U.K. and Germany.
