This is an unused track from the Idol. He might repurpose it, but it was for the show.

 

edit: Not sure if it was the idol. But he filmed a performance if this for a show or film.

I really like the chorus - it has massive hit potential, but the song overall need to be re-worked.

The 2 minute intro  Bop though

This is a great track, sounds like it samples MJ Thriller. 

It's said this was recorded for the movie directed by TE Shults starring J Ortega as well. .

Probably an early version of what's gonna be included in the movie soundtrack.
