Since the end of the Renaissance Tour Beyonce streams on Spotify have collapsed and are now on par with Katy Perry streams.

On Halloween and yesterday Katy Perry even outstreamed Miss Beyonce.

Did the announcement of a new KP album made the people stream her previous music or are just people abandoning Renaissance now like her previous projects?

not really. Katy has much bigger hits than Beyonce.

Let’s not forget that Katy just sold her publishing so her IP will be exploited at all costs and be put on many playlists, so they can recoup the money spent. 

Katy has more remembered catalogue tbh so it is expected

Well, Beyonce is no longer in era and Katy's smash classics of the 2010s have a stronger daily hold in terms of demand.

 

Now had it been this time last year I'd be surprised but the Renaissance era just wrapped up so the hype is not as big.

 

Kind of random Katy vs Beyonce. That's new.

Erm, Beyonce is definitely a legend. I guess you can make an argument for Katy as an undeniable icon but legend. Hmm...

She captures the 2010s era but she'll need to transcend beyond it. I get the American Idol thing but I don't think that solidifies her.

 

She's coming up  with. anew era. If that breaks ground, then I can see it for that.

 

But Katy's hits are massive still...so she has that on her side.

She has a legendary era which automatically equals to a legend imo. Teenage dream was a legendary unbeatable era
