Houdini will surprise some after Christmas songs drop.

The way this became her best song ever.

The Dollar Tree version maybe

 

"Only Girl" went #3 in its second week on the Hot 100. It was already a big hit when "What's My Name" came out. Whereas "Houdini" is serving "Not Myself Tonight"

 

The song is cool but the hook is way too weak for a big global pop lead single. And the lyrical conceit is too obscure to your average Gen Z teenager streaming on the school bus. Houdini is not THAT iconic. Basically they done ****** up. The next single NEEDS to be a super smash. Call Max Martin if you need to.

Extended version really elevated the song, just like DSN live in LA, especially the post chorus and bridge part, would really hate if this song doesn’t blow up!

 I played “Houdini” more times in its release day than I have played “Dance the Night” since its release.

 

“Houdini” needs to smash, it will smash. I still have faith.

Now that enough time has passed and recency bias has worn off, I think it's safe to say that this is one of her best songs and easily in my Top 3 from her atm

It is better than DSN's album version, but the Live in LA remix is heavenly and puts it on another level. Physical simply remains that b*tch and I have a strong nostalgic attachment to it so....

 

I wish the extended version was better but I don't really feel like listening to it. I need Kevin to drop a long-ass mix next month because even this recent remix isn't giving.
