If you look back at that time period, a lot of heavy synthy songs similar to Style also didn’t peak as well as they should have (Into You, Love Me Harder, Jealous, etc.) yet they all became major classics in the long run.

 

It doesn’t give the reason why, but I certainly remember at the time there was a pattern of songs that were produced and sounded similar to Style (which I ADORED) that weren’t getting the peaks they deserved

One of her 5 good songs tbh and the best one on 1989 after "Out of the woods"

not gonna lie, i did listen a few times then switch to old STYLE which is something at #45 for a reason right?

I wasn’t referring to the OG version, but seeing as I’ve always loved the song, good!
