A quality album that will stand the test of time. Too bad she didn't promote it at all. Deserves to be bigger!

Janet did the damn thing with Unbreakable. It felt like a return-to-form for her. Returning with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis was the right decision. I'm just sad we didn't get more videos from the era, and disappointed her partnership with BMG did not work out at the end of the day.

Top three:

  • BURNITUP!
  • The Great Forever
  • No Sleeep (solo edit)

8 years?! What is she doing? Her team is just not teaming. They really seem to be about the touring coins yet she still has a major fanbase waiting for new music :rip:

Night

Shoulda Known Better

Take Me Away

Should have been the singles.

So frustrating that we're still waiting. We really need one more fully realized and polished project from her. I'd say Unbreakable was about 80% there. i love it and listened to it a ton between 2015-2018 but haven't gone back to it so much since.

Somehow she seems to think that no one cares. I remember there was a snippet at the end of her documentary last year and she said she was surprised that people positively reacted to it and were eager to hear it :deadbanana2:.

In her own world it seems to have been forgotten that she was once the highest paid recording artist and that she has sold out multiple arenas over four decades. We've been ready queen!:jonny6:

OT: Unbreakable is incredible and one of my favourites of her albums. It's also probably one of her most personal in how it deals with grief and reflecting on one's past. The production is ace and the perfect blend of modern and classic sounding (both she and Jimmy and Terry nailed it once again), the vocals are superb and so are the lyrics. It kinda leans into her Joni Mitchell sensibilities and is a nice change of pace from her previous few albums. This and Made For Now are both excellent recent releases. Please bring on Black Diamond queen :heart2:

Possibly her most underrated album :jonny: It was an absolute return to form and it was everything you needed from a Janet album back in 2015.

Take Me Away is still THAT song :clap3:

The way I've been a stan for 6 years and she has yet to release an album during that time though :deadbanana2:

The people around her gotta be the pits. A number one album at this stage in her career, multiple arena/theater  tours and a semi-hit with Made For Now  should've been enough to light a fire.:rip:

I love Janet, but I really think her team wastes her time and legacy. Enough greatest hits tours...she is a current popstar and should be treated as such.:michael:
