Everyone can see the videotape — Ora recognized him instantly and made a dismissing/despising move with her hands. Frankly she is entitled to not like Djokovic and not because of he being a Serb and she Albanian. In general he is not exactly most beloved or admired one out there among tennis pros. Popularity-wise Djoko is a distant number 3 — he rubs a lot of people the wrong way for many different reasons, sometimes deserved, other times undeserved (for example due to his thuggish mom and dad who badmouth other tennis players.

As a bosnian i absolutely recognize her reaction and anyone making it about success is fckd in the brain lol he's a total loser imo

And again, you get real. Her reaction was very mild. Even if she recognized him, it wasn't 'dismisive' because of who he was, but because she couldn't wait to see her billboard.

Everywhere except tennis stadiums  (where he gets inadequate support / gets booed regularly)?

 

It has to be said Djokovic is the most popular among one demographic: the very young — kids upwards to gen z love him — but then they know the least about the sport (not been sufficiently exposed to beautiful strokes of Roger or swashbuckling intensity of Rafa). All they've witnessed their whole lives is the sterile but clinical efficiency of Novak and can't imagine anything more creative than that.

I literally have a friend who is a sport journalist and follows him at every tournament. Most of his fans who follow him around the world are middle-aged to old, very rich people.

My comment has nothing to do with this reaction, BUT I'll say this: I love all of those BIG nationalists who live abroad, enjoy freedom of movement, democratic goverments, economic prosperity. 

This is giving "if we reach 100k likes, I'll release the billboard"
