She would not have had a resurgence with a damn house album. She literally tried to kick off her first comeback after getting free with dance stuff and flopped 

 

JoJo's career was always mostly the R&B field and that was the first pocket of fans to give her respect. She's way smarter to focus on quality and cohesive R&B projects so she gets more of those types of festival bookings and is able to tour regularly than to try chasing a commercial hit

I mean it wasn't really pushed and she had just come back from a nearby decade long hiatus she wasn't just gonna smash from the get but it would've been easier to access certain scapes like European territories or radio. I'm just tired of vibing with her and want to hear her in a club and dance the night away
