The thing about being an Arca fan is that she spoils us so much that any break feels like forever 

 

Part of it is because her sound evolves so quickly that I'm eager to hear the creative headspace she's at right now. Like, girl just dropped four entire albums 16 months ago and I'm already begging for more. I'm optimistic we'll get some new material, maybe a single or two, by the end of the year. Album next year at latest.

she's confirmed on insta story a couple days ago she's working on new material, some form of project, and that her fans shouldn't mistake her silence as a break. she never stops making music. i bet her next full project will be out this fall, but this single is just an edit of Ritual afaik

After giving the song more chances, it sounds unlike anything Arca has done before and feels as if evolving to another place in her artistry. This song feels like a springboard into a newer and more complex direction from her. And it does sound like an intro track so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the opener of the next album.

I really like Arca and this song is not an exception, it's so her. She's very experimental on most of her songs
