Anybody else think Adele sounds like...

I've just received Etta James's legendary "At Last" album, released in 1960, and was shocked at how much Adele sounds incredibly like her. As much as I love Adele, I don't really know much about her inspirations other than Beyonce and a few others, so I was wondering if she has ever spoken about her?  Their voices are so alike, especially on this song:

Adele has called Etta her favourite singer and said that Fool That I Am is the song that made her want to be a singer.

She certainly did! I love when artists are open about their inspirations as you can definitely hear Etta throughout Adele’s discography. :bird:

I’m pretty sure one of the reasons Good Feeling became a hit was because some people thought it was Adele.

WHO!?

Adele, LÉON, and Lauren Daigle all sound incredibly similar to me, with LÉON sounding the best. She doesn’t sound like Etta James to me.
