I don‘t know why some people fumimg at a website, I mean, it’s apparently inaccurate, but the fact is, no one can offer the accurate global sales data, literally no one, even the IFPI can’t. So it is a great reference when compared artist’s success, like an artist with 200m CSPS is definitely more bigger than an artist with 100m

What they used to do is give a flat multiplier for Spotify streams to get overall streams. This multiplier was based on the global market share Spotify has. So if Spotify had 80% of WW audio streaming market, they would multiply everyone's Spotify numbers by 1.25 to get overall streams across all platforms. The issue with this (an issue several people on this site have stated before when people uphold Spotify numbers as the bible for a song's success) is Spotify's true market share varries when it comes to both markets and genres. An R&B or Rap artist like Lil Baby should have a FARRRR larger Spotify multiplier than a pop artist like Dua Lipa, based on both the fact that Urban music streams better on other platforms like Apple Music and the US (Lil Baby's main market) is way less Spotify dominant than Dua Lipa's main market of Europe.

 

CM revealed some updated multipliers for some artists:
Drake - 1.95477 (same logic for Lil Baby applies here)
Taylor - 1.71566
Ed Sheeran - 1.54582
Bad Bunny - 1.31442 (Spotify has a massive near 80% market share in Latin America so he is not missing as much streams)
