Is there hype for her?

 

I liked SMS but I feel like people aren't here for her as much anymore, and she has been serving bops like Pookie anymore. I know she's growing as an artist but something is lacking.

VIP and SMS were good songs, but she didn't venture out of her comfort zone much for those... I'm actually surprised that SMS made it onto the tracklist. I hope that won't be the case for the rest of the album.

weird the 14th is a Saturday, she usually drops songs on Thursday or Friday. 

 

I'm excited for this album, the cover looks so good. I wish she a had planned a vinyl version.

 

I absolutely love SMS but I'm curious about the numbers its gonna pull 1st week. It's been +2 years from AYA and her last big hit was in March 2022 and it's not even on the album.

Vinyls will definitely come at a later point in time. I suppose she might've done some last minute changes to the tracklist and they didn't want this to turn into an AYA-type of situation.

 

Dégaine absolutely deserved more than to be a buzz/promo single and should've been included.

VIP deserves to be on there way more than SMS...I know everyone will be hype for the Tiakola collab. My friends love him atm, Kim and an Aya collab will be interesting. 

I wanna know happened between her and Ms.Banks - does anybody here know? They both unfollowed here a few months after AYA came out.

Also Baby is a HIT. There’s no denying that she might not have had too much hype before hand but I think Baby clinched some just by being good and catchy. Seems to be taking off on tiktok too

SMS is so good and deserved top 10! Since she announced the album + tour, it's getting a ressurgence in France:

 

#12 Apple Music (+15)

#135 Spotify (+20)

 

But Baby is definetely shaping to be her big hit for this album, I was afraid the album will be out without any hit but with Baby she might have some longevity. 

 

Baby is another total classic Aya banger! I like her accent during the first lines of the second chorus, it's so cute. SMS grew on me a lot since the album announcement, but this is definitely the "official lead" single she needed to garner interest.

 

The way she keeps on adding new Bercy dates and selling out... The people demand a francophonie tour!

Méchante > SMS > Dégaine > VIP > Baby

 

I will forever love the afro pop/R&B fusion of sound cause outside of singles here and there (EX-BOYFRIEND, Soldier) cause there's no other woman doing it as consistently as her (Ayra Starr is the closest).
