the NMISS highlight medley sounds very....JYP. that's the nicest thing I can say about it

 

and STAYC already did the acapella teaser thing. and it sounded way better when they did it. and they've already moved on from it

I just realized that NewJeans is so successful because they're basically a younger version of Red Velvet that's just all velvet all the time. They do a few quirky photoshoots but the music is all easy listening pop with r&b influences. This means that RV could have rivaled BP on a global stage but their quirky red side and being from an incompetent company effectively killed that for them.
