I'm too addicted to Ditto to pay attention to OMG even if I love the song I'm still keep going back to Ditto 

 

If this continue it will be my fave song the song gets even more addictive after u learn the dance 

 

 

 

This is what I think the Mimosa song will sound like, fresh Japanese electropop, I kinda wanted an R&B bop but oh well 

 

there’s even a girl in this group that sounds exactly like Sana at 1:27 

 

 

 

Althought there is backtrack present during in this performance, is so nice to see and hear some live vocals from them.

By far my favorite performance of Illusion + Girls. 

 

 

Illusion still is so catchy and fresh. May be my fav song from them.

I know everyone keeps talking about Hype Boy-Attention-Ditto the trinity, but I keep going back to this.

 

 

It’s not the best thing I’ve heard vocally of course but damn these kids have some beautiful voices and can emote. This is what music should be, just make you appreciate it for how it makes you feel.

it’s in the same lane as Ditto to me, but then Ditto is sonically similar to Attention and Attention is just plastered in my head next to the Hypeboy, I swear, it’s a never ending circle of good music with them and it’s all so cohesive but different 

 

but I agree with you, Hurt and Ditto show perfectly how well are they able to convey the emotions already! it helps to connect with them a lot! also they all have such a beautiful tones

Because they are.   Tho to be fair, Kpop was dragged back then for being too produced (even though the contrast from then to now is clear.)

 

I think Gen 2 was the perfect storm of kpop starting to get global attention and ideas coming out of korea were all new (at least in context of kpop.) This wave into the public was also more exciting because most euro radios were slowing down and not focusing on pop bops, meaning people who still wanted high octane songs were looking elsewhere.

 

I would argue kpop has not really changed from then which is part of the issue, its only got more expensive and became a bigger dick flexing contest between labels.   That said I'm enjoying this new wave of rookies as 2018-2021 was pretty stagnant in making superstar newbies.

I think it also depends on image. Jennie is seen as (or was) an ice princess, while Wonyoung is polished to the max. Nayeoncé on the other hand, is a bubbly relatable girlie next door who became an idol
