I’m so glad I was able to attend this legendary moment in their career. They looked incredible. I can’t believe I got to see their Coachella set live. I love my girlies so much.

TWICE were in complete different situation compared to the other Kpop acts in the list cause both Morgan Wallen and TWICE released their albums in the same tracking week, and TWICE had to go against his first weeks sales  Like had TWICE released their album in any other week, they would've snatched that #1 album   What was JYP and Republic Records  even thinking?  (All JYP acts are under Republic Records as well)

Stray Kids' 5-STAR is still at #8 (-2) in France's and #4 (+2) in Germany's Official Album Charts in It's 4th week 

 

I can't believe a group with this potential was being held back from european distribution before 5-STAR's release.

you're SO lucky  It looked like a blast from what I could see from some insta lives + all the videos my friends sent me from there, made me miss seeing them so much.

girl the korean gp moved on so quickly. their timing on the scene was weird, I hope they have a hit soon. I enjoy their music a lot and don't want them to be discouraged

Exactly, people finally realized it’s stupid to stan a group that would last 2-3 years. It feels like disposable trash.

If you look at the normal lifespan of a girl group, it debuts.  Takes time to build an audience.  Peaks for about 2-3 years.  Then fizzles away as everyone moves on with their lives.

 

With a TV show, a group should be able to avoid the "build up" part and just start running at peak, and by the time that wanes, it's over.

 

Problem is if the show itself wasn't a success, or if the pool of applicants was fairly weak -- both things 999 experienced, probably as the first canary sent down the post-Produce scandals coal mine.  But at least they're big in Japan!

tell this to the person who made the tweet. isn’t that what companies are supposed to do… promote the song and then capitalize off the song’s popularity by continuing promotion? isn’t that how the industry works? maybe some other companies should take note?
