Takeoff left no will: parents fighting over assets.

The tragic killing of Migos’ Takeoff in a Houston bowling alley was a shock to his fans as well as his family. Now, Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball, is said to have a net worth of $26 million with no heirs.

Takeoff’s mother and father, Titania Davenport-Treet and Kenneth M Ball, are fighting over who will control his estate because without a will to distribute his assets, Georgia law says that his closest relatives now have exclusivity rights over his money and assets, including his valuable catalog and residual income from record sales. This has created a larger wedge between his estranged parents, who reportedly already do not get along.

This is true. But I feel like celebrities/etc should at least begin to draft one up especially when they know they’re at multimillionaire status. It’s not something we want to think about but death is a reality

Split 50 50. End of.

Unpreparedness, the average celeb's biggest qualification.

If you have anything to your name, write that sht down somewhere please, you never know, especially when you're around garbage people in your life.

Nah that has nothing to do with being 13. That just morals. You either have the integrity to split or you don't

They coulda just shared 50/50 but no, they’ll show their greedy asses. Money really shows how we really are.

Apparently his mother raised him and father wasn't around much.....the mother should have sole control of his estate

And if this is the case, you can see how the mother wouldn't want to just fork over half the inheritance.

What a mess.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. Smh. I know younger people don't ever think they're gonna go young but like someone already said, when you get in a certain tax bracket and have assets it's a good idea to draft the will asap. Tomorrow ain't promised.

Welcome to the real world.

OT: Anyone who's famous and rich should have a will just in case something terrible happens. It's not surprising to see the family fighting over his money.
