As a Cole stan, I can objectively say most rap stans here will vote Kendrick. He’s the more commercial rapper of the two and everyone stanned DAMN so.

Kendrick's discograhy is better as a whole imo. & he's the better rapper with more classics as well. Cole is RIGHT behind him though

Kendrick is miles ahead of the other rapper. 

I use Cole way more than Kendrick. So his discography is better to me (even if Kendrick’s may be objectively better). 
 

Kendrick is a better rapper and artist overall, but I feel like the only albums of his I can listen to often are GKMC, DAMN and Black Panther. For Cole, I use literally all his albums often. The most recent is the first one I didn’t really like.

Yeah for sure but I'm wondering what non-rap stans would choose. A lot of people I know that don't stan rap really like some of Cole's songs.

kendrick isa far more ambitious and interesting musician... even if i hate his voice

Kendrick is just a way more complex, layered and passionate artist. And a more skilled rapper.

 

J. Cole is still good though and more accessible.

The one that has Sing About Me, I'm Dying of Thirst aka one of thee BEST hip-hop songs of all time in their discography. I can see Kung Fu Kenny slaying Cole songs but I can't see Cole mastering Kendrick songs/lyricism.

J Cole a decent rapper and mediocre lyricist who has been recycling the same tired themes for years. Kendrick one of the all time GOATs. They are not on the same level

 

 

No Role Modelz is a bigger classic than all Kendrick songs combined tho

Kendrick has more consistent discography in term of quality

 

I like J.Cole music better but Kendick is better rapper.

I don't listen to Jermaine, so Kendrick by default.

I don't why, but I've never been like "oh let me listen to that J. Cole album". 

 

I love his verse on Jeremih's Planez song tho.
