Imo she needs to drop the whole teenage dream stuff and go for pinup girl look again and release a pop rock album and cater to AC radio crowd. 
 

other than that honestly Katy really won in life. She has a hot iconic husband and a beautiful child with him and probably more kids to come. She has a whole catalogue of classics and keep getting paid $30 million or more for being a celebrity judge. 
 

she truly won in the end. She doesn’t need to make a comeback if she chooses.

More flopping, i guess. 

Enjoy her life, release music every now and then (hope she releases music that she really loves to do, and hoping that's an acoustic or pop-rock type, just like her roots).

 

She doesn't have to chase success, she's done phenomenal already. Not every popstar is destined to have a Madonna or Taylor Swift trajectory.
