After her court case with Dr. Luke went public, it seems as if Kesha fell off from the hit-making status she once had. Despite releasing an emotional heart-wrenching single to capitalize off of the situation, it only peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100. This is her highest peaking song from after her court case went public, even though she dropped two albums.

'High Road' flopped so hard that I think she would have trouble securing the necessary industry support to mount a real comeback. "Raising Hell" didn't even chart. There is also the lingering Dr Luke drama that will prevent a large section of the industry from working with her since Dr Luke has his tentacles in so many businesses (not just Kemosabe but Prescription Songs, A&Rs, synch and licensing people, all kinds).

 

So no, I don't think so. I guess in the age of TikTok anything is possible, but I feel like her time in the sun is done. But she will have a niche fanbase, her next album could definitely do like 20-30k first week and she could do a cute theatre tour. Mitski/Charli XCX type career.

She needs work with the same people dua lipa does and make safe catchy disco inspired music for at least one album. It has to be insanely catchy tho if she wants a hit

exactly, she obviously doesn't care about #1s and charts because she's been there & done that

 

she can finally make the music that she wants after not having creative control for a long time, and she has a dedicated fanbase she can go on tour whenever she wants. not everything has to be about charts

NO and I think it's half because she doesn't care and is content on where she is? Her fans still support her, she can ALWAYS tour because she has the hits, etc. and she doesn't seem to care to be the biggest star in the world. Been there, done that. I think she's content with where her career is but I never will count her out.
