Supposedly Biden has no direct way of just getting rid of DeJoy, but none of the board members he’s nominated dislike DeJoy or have shown any inclination towards replacing him. This is what happens when you elect an institutionalist who values “independence of agencies” above all else. You get nominations pushed through who don’t believe taking out DeJoy is a priority for preserving democracy through mail-in voting, and you get Trump-appointee Jerome Powell whose approach to reducing inflation doesn’t take into account the main factor behind it: supply chain disruptions.
