 I only knew about her from that walking meme. I'd never even heard any songs by her until now. Judging by this new song, I should consider myself lucky.

She’s mediocre but her trajectory is so weird. Unlike other girls she actually scored three healthy hits so far and Icy Girl was an extra sleeper one. An album with Best Friend and Tap In would have gone Gold and she could work on a cute sophomore by now. But now she’s been flopping non-stop, in label limbo and no one is checking on her as before with no album out…

Fr, it's just another example of why every artist needs to take advantage of their moment when they have it. We knew she was never the most talented but the industry was supporting her heavy last year (SNL, McDonalds meals, Amazon special, hosting the EMAs) and she was coming off 3 successful singles - Tap In, BTTS and Best Friend. I know Saweetie and the label are sick they didn't just release the album after Best Friend as planned. Everything just nosedived after Fast, delaying the album, the string of bad performances. It's over for her now.

Agreed! And now they need to pray for something to catch on tiktok and release a batch of songs with years old music attached to it lol even latto has two projects out by now

True. It’s crazy how they didn’t capitalize on her it girl moment. I wouldn’t say she doesn’t have a chance to recapture it but she seems to think by being pretty she doesn’t have to put in any of the hard work that comes with being a pop star/rapper but it doesn’t work that way.

I don't know anyone who likes or listens to saweetie, and from what i see on twitter most people make fun of her
