Avril almost nominated for Oscar. Surprised?

"Keep Holding On" is a power ballad by Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne, appearing as the last track on Lavigne's third studio album, The Best Damn Thing (2007).

It was used as the musical theme for the 2006 film Eragon, also appearing in the film's ending credits, and was the first single released from the film's soundtrack. "Keep Holding On" was one of the songs short-listed for the "Best Original Song" category at the 79th Academy Awards, but it was not among the final nominees.

Someyhing her peers’ songs like Just Like Fire, Carwash and Breakaway have failed to accomplish...

I wouldn't consider a 25 songs short-list is something we call almost :eli:

If she kept her Let Go image aesthetic, she would have been take more seriously but it's what she gets for being a beautiful super feminine blonde back then

No need to shade others to get your point across

The song had a lot of buzz, but lost its eligibility after being included on "The Best Damn Thing" tracklist and the movie was definitely not it!

I don’t get it. Avril has always shown love to Gaga yet Monsters always shade Avril

The song was written for the movie so its inclusion on TBDT was never an issue.
