  1. The only reason that Ari can't compare with Gaga in terms of touring is that Ari hasn't established herself as a touring force.....yet. I mean, don't you think she can pull a stadium tour? Might be not all but with some legs.
  2. Is it good? I need some comparison.
  3. Idk, i feel like radio is full of payola lately
  4. We count ATP as a western song? Anyway, Avril and Mariah would have had #1 hits had the chart existed during their prime.
  5. Is she falling into a B-lister on radio?
  6. Or might be Sour is just more consistent. Well, a lot of albums have big hits but it doesn't translate to album consumptions.
  7. I was trolling though . But i guess she's too big to have Lizzo's fall.
  8. Mendes has more than 1 hit i believe. His career lasted for like 5-6 years at least. Benson is the definition of one hit wonder. So they are not the same.
  9. Okie, i admit that she might be on Alicia Key's level in terms of album sales in the US. As I Am debuted more that 700k in 2007. It was Alicia's third album and she was a huge album seller in the state. There is no way Olivia is anything below an A-list act at the moment.
  10. Well, i apologize for overreacting at some points but i'm kinda sensitive when people compare artists from different eras, especially when it comes to the period from the early to mid 00s when 1) physical album sales were decreasing sharply since 2001 onwards 2) digital sales weren't at its peak 3) youtube hasn't taken off and finally the tour. I think those artists who peaked around that time were unfortunately underrated when it comes to comparision for the all time charts (especially when streaming makes (successful) albums and singles stay much longer on the charts). I mean the formula might be right to measure the chart in 2026 but the question is: is it fair to use the units to compare with the pure sales for artists that were successful in pure sales? Again, i didn't try to downgrade anyone or anything. Just that a lot of my faves also came from the album sales era and I feel like their success has been underrated recently.
  11. I said that thinking anyone could sell 1 million pure sale in 2006 is laughable. You see the biggest debut is 722k.
  12. This is why i said your comparision is lame and wrong, especially you u think it is the same in 2002 and 2006 . Pure sales were declining sharply (like 70%) from 2002 to 2006 and that's why from the list you show me, only one album was actually released in 2006 . The digital era started in 2005 but only had only taken off since 2006. I guess you didn't know a thing because you didn't really witness the climax back then. You just look at the stats and thought you knew it all but trust me you don't. Especially when you listed 2002-2003 albums to the list and think it was the same as 2006 . From the list you gave me, only ONE album in 2006 sold more than 700k . And even if it had more album that debuted higher, how abouyt the total sales? Did you know that an album that sell over 3 million copies (pure sales) in 2006 can be considered as a moderate success and anything over 5 million is a success for any artists, A-list or B-list act. And you want to comapre that to 2026 acts who can gain over 10M units easilly if they have one or two hits on their albums? And about the streams. Do you have any official stats or proofs of how many times people play an album or song on ipod? No? Cos there were no systems that measure that at the time. Don't calculate the time with me because the charts are different now comapred to then. People listened to a song because they really want it. Nowsaday, fans might stream a song/an album over and over again just because streams are counted on charts. Not to mention that artists tend to manipulate the charts by the varients. And i didn't mean to shade anyone speciffically. Just that how it works in 2026. Not trying to downgrade anyone or saying 2026 sucks or anything. Just that you can't compare artists or sales from different eras. I strongly against that because it makes aritsts whose peak before the digital era looks like a dwarf next to those with repeated streaming. That's why i also think BB all time charts suck even though some of my faves are so high on the charts thanks to streaming. If you wanna say 485k is a huge debut in 2026, it's fine, because it is totally. But comparing to 2006 and said it's equivalent to 1M back then is just laughable
  13. It sounds much better than Yes, and? And even WCBF. Idk why people thought it would flop
