Yes the album produced 2 of Kelly Rowland's iconic smashes, "Like This" and "Work".

 

But the second US single, "Ghetto" ft/ Snoop Dogg flopped.

 

It seems "Comeback" was chosen as a possible follow-up to "Like This" as a music video was recorded back-to-back.

It should have been released after "Like This" in the US.

 

 

"Still in Love With My Ex" would have easily smashed worldwide as the last worldwide single (US too).

Work should have been the official first single in the US and Freemasons remix for Europe but I know that mix was created a little later. Love also should have had a release it would have smashed back then with good promo

Broken (from Diva Deluxe)

Pros - very approachable/accessible pop N'B, trendy sound (Beyonce, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Jordin Sparks), and I could definitely see it on a film soundtrack.

 

Cons - sounds like a cousin of "Irreplaceable".

Kelly needed more confidence in that record, and I do think that there were some shenanigans regarding B'Day and not wanting to compete. Ms. Kelly definitely had more potential (not to say that it didn't do well), especially with some of those remixed tracks from the deluxe editions.

Her remixes are so ******* good.

Comeback following Work is not going to succeed IMO

 

I like the idea of releasing a ballad as 2nd or 3rd single, mostly because Kelly's biggest hit is still Dilemma which is mid-tempo. Ghetto is just forgettable.

 

Broken or Still In Love... have more pop appeal, Broken is stronger IMO. I feel like if Kelly releases Still In Love..., her urban fans won't support it like Broken

 

But if she wants to push a more Urban single for US alone, Every Thought Is You or Love should work

 

In that case I would pick

2. Work (global)

3. Broken (global) - after Work's success in Europe & Australia, this could have done decently in these markets tbh

4. Every Thought Is You (US) / Daylight (global)... She should release a strictly Urban single for her fanbase in US

5. Comeback... Honestly I don't think this is going to be such a smash, Work just has more magic tbh. I would argue Broken is the hit that got away from the album tbh.

Broken has the most mentions here. I've always thought it was cute but Still in Love always seemed like a obvious hit to me.

 

Unity I feel could have been a slow-burning smash in the UK/AUS.

 

For an Urban US single, I feel like The Show w/ Tank could have been a big hit on Urban AC
