Harry has certainly made a name for himself lately. When people think of 1D, they think Harry Styles, he was the face of that band.

And? Harry's success is not 1D's success. 

Never heard any BTS song. So 1D.

Never heard of BTS outside stan twitter so 1D

BTS has bigger fan base. Actually, one of the biggest fan base ever. I think they may underperform to their standards, but flopping seems impossible for at least the 2020s, just as Taylor Swift. Their fan base only can ensure their long term success.

1D has bigger public recognition. They have classics: WMKYB, OT… but they were together for shorter time than BTS so it’s hard to compare in the current atmosphere. But if they ever have a reunion, I think it’s gonna be huge thanks to nostalgia and Harry’s success rn. 

Most definitely 1D.
