Adele: Plot Her Return

Featured Replies

Release a sex bop, but not anything crazy, make it classy. Plus, she should construct an album based on being a confident and emancipated divorced woman with dark visuals. :WAP:

She's done. We tried to tell y'all. She will be a relic of the 2010s, and overtime her " classics" will just be in "Songs from the 10s you forgot about!".

21 already has very mid recurrents, and they will get worse.

Truly the modern Norah Jones.

huh?

Norah did not have a mega successful follow-up like 25, which is the biggest female album of the recent years, heck Norah did not even have 30 an album that spawned best seller of the year and a 10 week #1 :biblio:

She can start with refunding her fans for the cancelled vegas shows :skull:
Then actually start promoting her album, she did well for 25 with all the talk shows, live performances, etc.

Well if 30's run has shown as anything, it's that Adele's success relies very heavily on pure sales.

And there's no better time of year to push sales than the holiday season, so I wouldn't be surprised if her team is going to "revive" the album later this year (if they even plan to revive it in the first place ofc).

So if I was them, I'd schedule the Vegas residency for later this year, put out the "I Drink Wine" video with a push on radio and book a spot on SNL or The Late Late Show for that one televised performance, and then hope that a new single + Christmas season can help the album recover, at least for those few months.

Plus all this late-year activity would also coincide with the Grammy voting period in December, so being visible again through the residency + new single would seal the deal on another Grammy sweep imo.

Step 1: do nothing

Step 2: 10 year break

Step 3: drop album about the next heartbreak, even more personal than the last

Step 4: repeat Steps 1-3, adding +5 years to Step 2 and "more and more" personal to Step 3 - each iteration.

She slayed with slow music during the whole edm pop movement that was dominating. You can't blame the modern landscape. Her appeal was always being a true artist and DIFF from the status quo.

And I started that people would have bought 30 if they had to. Adele’s music isn't consumable enough for daily streaming. She is a specific, not often, mood type of artist. She's like an informative book you don't read every day but is essential to your library. Streaming made it easy for consumers not to buy 30 when a large chunk of them would have if they had to.
