2nd album was a rehash of In The Lonely Hour, then they changed sound/ image too late and music wasn't as good as before. simple as that

He fell out of favour with the "real music", ballad-loving audience (who also like Adele) and being an openly camp, gay male artist who now releases up-tempos was eventually going to be limiting.

I think Love goes is an amazing album, but love me more is a bit boring as single.
