Artists whose Sound is getting tired?

Featured Replies

Name artists whose currently releasing the same sounding music, and should be switching it up/going a different genre

IMO:

Katy - The teen pop is getting tired. TD->Smile contain similar sounding songs except for the fact that TD & PRISM had amazing songs while Smile & Witness only contained 2-3 good songs on each :rip:

Post Malone - I stan him but the pop/trap bops are enough imo. Literally everyone is begging him to go Acoustic/Rock

Ariana Grande - if she leaves trap alone and focus on another genre she will be good.

Katy Perry - the bubblegum pop mixed with the same lyrical narrative been exhausting. If she did something more serious I could see a repeak.

Ariana needs a change ASAP

positions was boring and TUN kinda aged fast

Camila and the sales clearly show that, the latina sound is overdone by herself at this point

I also agree with Katy TD, PRISM and SMiLE kind of have the same vibe and we've had enough

Gaga has tried the dance pop too many times and it’s getting stale asf :deadbanana4:

Love her to death but Lana's next album needs to not be 90% ballads

it's getting stale when her last 5 albums are Cheeck to Cheek (Jazz) - Joanne (Pop/Rock/Country) - ASIB (Power Ballads/Rock) - Chromatica (House/Dance Pop) - Love For Sale (Jazz), and that's for almost a decade :deadbanana2: if anything, we need more

Ariana, miss girl have been releasing subpar quality since sweetener and she needs to switch it up real quick. her songs are shallow as well

Ariana should jump on the Y2K R&B pop sound. She would slay a Destiny Child/TLC like single. Positions got old real quick.

Lana could also change it up by going to hip-hop production. Born to die took a lot of Hip hop percussions and samples. Imagine Lana Melodie’s on some boom bap or New Jack swing beat. I think that would spice things up. Or she could go more for a arena rock Kings of Leon type song.

I would like Ariana to do something crazy different. Pure R&B, soul or something. Showcase the vocals. Lana can drop the ballads and do some massive bops again.

I hate to say it but Ariana needs to go back to her mixed-pop formula for her return.

Adele also needs to change her tempo. she could eat an album full of mid tempos like WUTB, SFTTR, RHI,RITD,CIGI etc.

Abel needs to change it up as well. Even tho Dawn is Beautiful

Ariana. Either actually go R&B or drop it. I hate how she’s been treading the lines between the two genres. Just do it and stop playing.

I also think an album in the same vein as Rain On Me could be good for her too. 90s or Y2K house album

I still like Ari's sound, I just want some 90s style ballads from her

Joanne (Pop/Rock/Country)

We as a society really not to stop pretending that there is actually any country (or rock for that matter) music on Joanne. It isn’t dance pop it is most definitely 100% pop music from top to bottom.

ariana needs to give it up with the lite-r&b atmospheric trap. she also needs to show some diversity with her singles, like a ballad, or the gp will start to lose interest.

ariana needs to give up the budget trap and give us something new
