This and the deluxe versions that come out months after the standard release... so annoying. The hype is gone + they usually don't make the albums better, just longer.

So true, i'm such a purist when it comes to albums, like i don't want the same album twice in my library but i also don't wanna edit the deluxe tracks into the standard. just stop it!

This has been bugging me lately because a couple years ago I went crazy with my library and added whatever "bonus tracks" I wanted onto albums just so I didn't have a bunch of random singles listed; then I changed my mind and reverted back to making them identical to the official releases so it's easier to trace where things come from and refer back to discogs, except for deluxe titles and artwork.

I really hate having "(Deluxe)" or "(10th Anniversary Edition)" in the tags, or when the album gets a whole new title like Lights vs. Bright Lights, or Louder Please vs. A Little Louder Please. It's been on my mind constantly if I "need" to make them absolutely identical to that release including title and artwork for clarity/officiality. I love the What Happened to the Heart? standard artwork so much, and the deluxe just looks like a random photo

The deluxe editions with a different title are the worst. This whole post is giving OCD-nightmare!

Not to mention albums that has a song with a different lead artist... I'm low key glad Tension was trash cause I'm not about to have Oliver Heldens as a lead artist in a Kylie Minogue album.

When you add an album to a playlist on Spotify and it decides to do that thing where it lists one song as being from a different album instead
