honestly, i’ll never hate this *****. I grew up with her and i love her voice, her songs, her personality and everything in between. even if she has retired, she has been a major part of my life and i’m glad she exists  i love seeing her happy and in her element, just smiling and vibing

Im super late but here are my takeaways 

 

- one thing I was thinking before is that she isn't coming back because her voice is damaged or something but that's clearly not the case considering she sounded amazing whenever she... You know... Sang.  

 

- she clearly hates performing now. Even in 2018, her last performance before the SB, she was MOVING. i would argue it's the most energy she had ever had. Not sure what happened but I don't really care. 

 

- which brings me to this point. As someone mentioned, what I am actually upset about is her reaction in that IG live. Like How shameless can you be? Clearly she has 0 shame so any argument we bad like "oh she has to come back in 2024 cz otherwise it's ridiculous" is out the window because she has 0 shame and gives 0 fucks lol. Once her brands die down and her streams die down, that's when she'll be back.

Seeing more vids of the show, especially ones from the audience's perspective, it definitely wasn't a bad show at all. 

Under rehearsed and not in top performance shape? Yeah. But it was a cute show all in all. She was having fun, the audience had a blast.

A Superbowl / ANTI Tour hybrid setlist was to be expected. But I do hope she majorly switches it up for a next tour.

 

Only gripe I have with her is her skipping more and more singing parts over the course of her career.

It was already pretty bad during the ANTI tour, but in this show it was just too much.

 

Still. I am looking forward to seeing her on tour again, whenever she is ready to do so. And I will love every single second of it. Hope I can have another front row experience after seeing her front row for DWT and AWT.

Everything about her India Trip is viral on IG and Twitter! Mother will always win and I can stand it!

I wasn't expecting the performance and her mere presence in India to go so mega-viral, it's crazy. Most of it is positive/neutral too, lol.

There’s no new music, whenever she appears she embarrasses herself with bad songs and bad performances, she doesn’t even treat her fans good anymore so her ‘cool factor’ gone... let it go and stop stressing there’s a lot of amazing artists and music being made

Why you so bothered then? Go ahead and stan those amazing artists!! 

Rihanna definitely hasn’t lost her cool factor. There’s a reason why she’s still so viral and praised despite the outfit choice, still being big (the GP isn’t event body shaming her like they would other pop girls), barely singing, barely dancing.

Like I said, some of you were having a meltdown based off of poor quality video and let the comments from Rihanna haters get to you. The haters were going to hate her performance regardless of how she did.
 

Rihanna and her dancers only had two weeks to prepare for this, so the show was never going to be spectacular. 
 

Anyway, this performance was also about business for Rihanna, since she’s going to be expanding Fenty Beauty in India.

An exclusive private show for a billionaire doesn't count as "content." Don't let her get away with this being the only music thing she does all year . 

 

The performance was fine (except for some tired setlist choices - Pose can get out of here trash bonus track being the "timeless" music she's performing 8 years on while KIB is gathering dust; and some questionable choreo and lack of singing in parts - nothing new). 

 

We all love her and if this is her loosening up for more shows and a music release that's great - but people are tired and are entitled to a meltdown after so long and still no news. 

This show was not for the fans, so meltdowns were not merited. The Ambani family likely requested most of the songs on the set list. The guests and the family that paid for the show were happy with Rihanna’s performance, and that’s all that matters.

Also do OG #Nhevi remember when people on here used to call her FRih because “ a free stream” is the only place she succeeds. And now every Stan base is bragging about streaming records
