Why does RR sound better on Spotify compared to AM version... The same can be said for Shut up and drive and Disturbia

So... My 2 cents on her halftime show:

 

She does a mayor entrance to bits of some of her biggest collabs/hits that wont happen but do fit the show:

 

Starts with 'All of the lights... turn on the lights in here baby... extra bright I want y'all to see this!!'

Then WHYB, Live your life that leads to wild thoughts, SOS, Loyalty, the monster and ends the block with Run this town. Jay Z comes out, they sing half a minute and the chorus and then they do Umbrella together. (3:30 minutes)

 

Umbrella ends and she starts the 'urban block' of her show with BBHMM and Needed Me that leads to the 'upbeat block' with Don't Stop the music and Only Girl. (Minutes 3:30-7:00)

 

Then the dancehall/reggae part with Pon de Replay, Rude Boy and what's my name? (I would love man down and/or break it off but wont happen) (Minutes 7:00-9:30)

 

The 'ballad block' with LTWYL, Diamonds, Love on the Brain, and Stay that leads to the slowed down version of We Found love to end up with the upbeat version (a la XFactor UK finale) (09:30-13:30)

I'm just surprised she has waited all these years to do anything music-related, and now that she has a baby she would go promote her new album and go on a tour?

I would love to be wrong but it just doesn't make sense!

Last summer I had this theory that becoming a mom would give her that spark again and make her go back to music

What's My Name (perfect choice especially if she does a Crop Over theme)

BBHMM (would be iconic, but she'd have to censor lots of lyrics)

Umbrella (too predictable but it'd make sense)

We Found Love (predictable as well but it'd be epic)

Stay (if she wants to be unconventional and start with a slow song lol)

controversial opinion but if she does dedicate a 1 slow song section in her superbowl (which I doubt, I think she will skip tbh) I hope she picks none of her ballads and instead goes for one of her midtempo/uptempo and do a piano rendition moment.

 

both Diamonds and Umbrella would be perfect to slow things down around a piano or guitar.

100% agree this is not the moment for ballads, I'm not sure why some of ya'll are wanting to her to perform 3-4 ballads on her set   

 

Plus we already have so many great performances already of Stay / LOTB etc. We need something new and exciting, there's not many ways you can do that with ballads.

I do want her to slow things fown for 2-3 minutes. Every show needs peaks and valleys. I don’t necessarily need a proper ballad, but like you said, at least a little cute acoustic moment.

I never said she couldn’t perform a “chilled” portion, I just don’t think it’s the right place to dedicate nearly a third of the performance for ballads (exception of LTWYL & Diamonds and if she does half piano/acoustic of Umbrella or WFL)
 

Jlo/Shak, Dre and friends, actually most the shows in recent years have all been upbeat for basically the entire show. 

Also Firework and Halo both have pretty big production so they suit the SB.
 

I don’t really see her ballads having the same effect unless they switch it up some way. Like I said we already have amazing performances of those songs from her, I just want something new and innovative, I just don’t really see it from those type of songs. 

I’m gonna need this choreo to make a return tho

I wouldn't mind if she did this again. **** the dancers and production value and strip everything away for just a few minutes. this video proved me that it can be just as powerful, if not more.

honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there's no slow moment at all considering the savage x fenty approach they're goin with this half time. but yeah just 2-3 minutes is just enough, no more no less.

Ikr I really don't understand, we are days away from something that I'm sure most stans never thought we'd ever get the chance to experience and some people still feel the need to be so passive aggressive for legit no reason 

 

I'm so excited for the looks, to hear her voice, see what new choreo is done and also just to see what they do musically with all the songs they decide to do.

 

I've gotta agree with those saying she should slow it down and do a couple ballads, not just for the pacing of the show but because I do think her ballads are an important part of her career.

Honestly, some setlists here are giving Diamonds / ANTI world tour. It's not 2012-2016 anymore. I want something new, keep the old medleys away and bring new ones! I want to be surprised.
