I think we can all agree, it's either Hybe, Jive, TDE, or she's independent.

It's no coincidence we keep getting evidence or implications from these same 4 options over and over for months now and nothing about Atlantic, Capitol, Def Jam, etc.

i def think its gonna be a hybe x label deal like how katseye has hybe x geffen because normani randomly mentioned katseye in that billboard interview during her shein launch party and i don't think it was for no reason. with jive, she would be a priority so i'm not completely against her being the first signee with them but a whole new fresh slate with like TDE would be phenomenal. i just wanna know already lol.

I dont see hybe signing normani. Hybe loves promoting young acts which is why all their groups train and debut around 15-18 year olds. They dropped girls from training for being near 30 and with Normani being near that age I dont see them promoting her well.

well the new president of hybe is really close to normani's manager and normani spoke on a panel with lydia for her so thats why ppl have assumed such. not a far fetched assumption.

but its REALLY looking like jive to me. and that makes the most sense even the artists jive used to have on their roster - normani always lists them as inspo so it makes sense

This is one of the big reasons Hybe is on the table and yeah it would be Hybe x some other label or something. That's how Hybe handles their western artists. Usually a joint signing.

This is what I mean by there's so many crumbs pointing to one of those 4 labels/paths for Normani.

I def think we're going to get an answer in March.

and the president follows normani. but if it is hybe then i don't think she'd be with jive since jive would be with sony? TDE is with UMG like hybe so.. let's see. so many possibilities.

Actually, TDE has signings with all of the Big 3 currently. SZA's with RCA/Sony, Doechii with Capitol/UMG and Alemeda with Atlantic/Warner.

I wouldn't read too much into it. People can be in the studio and release something tomorrow or 20 years from now. She also could be working on a million things not tied to an imminent release.

What has been speculated is that she's slated to do SOMETHING Q2/Q3.

the steady drumbeat of content/appearances we've gotten would lend itself to that but if that's the case then I think March and April are going to be the key months in terms of announcements/teases etc

well Jive is a stand alone ain't it? it makes perfect sense to sign to Jive because she'd be one of the first few signees with a fresh start and more focus but still under RCA's guidance and i thought they loved her there i just think the keep cool stuff made her debut really messy.

i was gunna answer with this answer as well. there was no real confirmation she left, just rumblings and her getting taken off of the site so them sending her to jive for a fresh start and ppl who can focus on her isnt far off.

as i have said before they probably will wait till Normani is done with The Masked Singer before we get an announcement on new music .

Idk what to glean from it since most if not all of the artists on the playlist are people she often cites as influences.

No new news - sorry - just bumping this thread because I had a music related thought. (I hate bumping thread when no news; I know people are hoping for needs)

To anyone into music production or into instrumentals,

Do you notice how minimal/simple Normani's music is, sonically?

There is a pad (background sound), drums, and her vocals: Lights Out, Still, All Yours, etc. They all share that style

there's no strumming instruments like guitar. The songs are very clean, simple, and of course a mood/vibe

I call Normani's music "pretty girl" music because that is her image and sound, but her music also sounds like it's from the future because of how simple and clean it is
