I see you're trying to get a rise out of me, but I'm not here for that. Digging up old comments I made doesn't change the fact that even when I was frustrated, I was still respectful toward Normani. I was being honest about how I felt, but I never disrespected her. There's definitely a way to voice how you feel without being rude, especially when she already gets enough of that. If you want to have a productive conversation, I'm here for that. But if you're just looking to go back and forth, this is the last time I'll respond.

Wow, you don't like Still? What don't you like about it? I like how the song pays homage to her roots, and the sample and production are great as well. It will probably grow on you over time.

At this point, it feels like you're just looking for an argument, which I'm not going to entertain. I've already explained why I've vented in the past—that's my right. Even when I was frustrated, I've made an effort to stay respectful, which is more than I can say for you right now, but to each their own. I'm not going back and forth with you, but just know that you always have the option to leave if you're that bothered. If you take that as me pressuring you, that's on you. The fact is, you're not being respectful—you're just being nasty.

This album has grown on me so much over the past few months. I was hyped for Candy Paint, but when she released it on her birthday, it sounded more refined than the leaked version, and I wasn't vibing with it at first. It's grown on me a lot, though, and two years ago, I just knew it was a hit waiting to happen. With a music video, it could really shine. All Yours is so pretty and one of the biggest standouts on Dopamine. If she pushed this album, she could possibly have multiple hits—Big Boy, Still, All Yours, Lights On, Insomnia, Candy Paint, and even Take My Time could all have their moment.

I'm not expecting you to baby her, but if you're always irritated with her, why stick around? You still haven't answered that. I've said how I feel about certain things a few times, and that doesn't make me a hypocrite just because I'm not handling it the same way you are. I don't get how you don't see that. If you're a real supporter, you'd act differently. I'm not saying you can't be frustrated, but the way you're going about it is kinda questionable. Feels like you're reading just to respond, not to understand.

I just checked my notifications, and you quoted me not once, but four times. Lol. I have vented in the past, and that's because I love Normani so much and see her potential. Me voicing my frustrations does not mean anything; it just shows that I care about her. But I have never called her boring or given the energy that you give because if I ever reach that point, I would just quietly leave this site and stop talking about her altogether—which is an option that I think you forget you have. You cannot clock me when I have never been rude towards her, ever. She already gets enough of that, so think about that.

I have a genuine question if you're tired of her why do you still stick around?

Tbh, I still have hope in Dopamine. Idc what the numbers say or what people think. She gave us an album with quality. Not only that, but it truly represents who she is as an artist. I love when she does pop music, but the notion that the album should have been primarily pop is just ridiculous. What the album needed were visuals and performances—that's it. It's a solid project that gives the public a real taste of who she is artistically, and she did a very good job at that. This isn't her make or break moment, and honestly, it never was.

I know what's done is done, but if I could go back in time and step into Normani's shoes, I would've made Dopamine a surprise release. If she's creating a visual album or mini-film, that should've been the centerpiece from the start. That strategy would've been far more effective. Look at her past releases—her biggest moments always came with visuals. Motivation had a video we'll never forget, and Wild Side, hands down her best video, was iconic. Normani's building her name as a visual artist, and her team should've played to that strength. Even with a smaller budget, Dopamine could've had a sickening rollout if they played it smart. Yeah, RCA has a bad rep, and we don't know the details of her deal, but it looks like she has a lot of creative control, which is dope. Still, I'm guessing years of investment might've stretched the budget thin for this era. Here's how I would've done it: finish the visuals first, drop the album cover to build hype, and let it simmer for a month. Then, drop the album and visuals together, followed by some live performances. After a month, announce a summer tour. Dopamine gives both summer and fall energy, so it would've been perfect timing. What do y'all think?

I hope I don't come across as ungrateful, but the choreo that she did for both RNBx and the Spotify event really doesn't suit her—like, at all. I thought, because Paris has choreographed for Mani in the past, it would eat, but I'm not a big fan of the movement aside from the new Wild Side choreo—she did a really good job with that one. Everything else is just meh, but I'm hoping that they're toning down the movement so she can sing more comfortably, as some of the fans are saying. I have a feeling that what we're seeing on the stage isn't what she's actually doing in the music videos.

I understand that people want Normani to experiment with her sound, but some of y'all are acting as if Dopamine is strictly R&B. Yes, it's primarily R&B, but there's still some variety.

Every year it's the same sh*t I really don't know what to say anymore.

Sometimes I think Dopamine is too short but honestly, it's concise and gets straight to the point. We deserve a deluxe edition.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but if the visuals were going to take this long and the promotion for the album was going to happen around this time, then the album should've been announced this month. Also, I've seen some people say that Dopamine gives autumn vibes, and I definitely agree.

Really? You may be right about that, but from what I've heard the bass hit harder and it really felt like a club hit ready to happen. Now it sounds polished for pop radio, if that makes sense- it just sounds a bit different.

I wish Candy Paint wasn't so watered down. When she teased the song, it sounded a lot different than the version we have now. Maybe she altered it to fit the album's sonic theme because Dopamine is a very smooth listen.

If she does leave RCA, I wonder how she'll navigate the industry. I know that when it comes to touring, she'll pocket a lot of money, but then again everything will also come out of her pocket. I just hope that whatever move she makes benefits her.

No offense, but you seem butt hurt because she's not doing what you want. I understand why you feel that way, but you need to learn to let go. It's valid to be frustrated, but you keep ranting for days on end.

I feel like over the course of these past few months, I've given her so much grace but honestly I'm just over everything. I love her, but I just wished she fought harder for her career or just give up. I'm okay with either one.

We need the music videos and the live performances. That is where she excels the most.

I feel like weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. It's either we go up from here, or we go down from here.

I'm not lying I've seen some ppl express how they wished it was better. I think it's a solid debut and I really like it. I just want her to give us the music videos because as we know it does enhance the experience.

I have so many thoughts right now. I'm starting to wonder if this album is really 'the one.' I like it, and the songs are nice, but a lot of people aren't that impressed. Maybe the live performances and visuals will help turn things around. I just hate that the haters now have ammunition against her. I really hope she does a complete 180 soon.

The more I play this album, the more I enjoy it even more. I'm slowly getting into Take my time it's nice but I feel like it could've been better. This album overall is a nice way to introduce herself. For her sophomore album I think she should sing more on uptempos since she mostly sang on mid tempos.

I bought each song on the album and then after I purchased the album does this count toward billboard?
