Usually when Nicki gets nominated in the rap categories, she’s always nominated alongside one of the rap Grammy darlings such as Kanye, Jay-Z or Kendrick.

 

The fact that none of them are there… I really think that “Best Rap Song” is ours.

Attention is also nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance, that's the only thing making me nervous...but Barbie World was way bigger. I feel like Rich Flex is going to win but I'm going to stay hopeful. 

Not only is the competition weak, but Nicki has the overdue narrative AND Barbie has a massive film studio campaigning across categories behind the scenes. It's hers.

If it were a popularity contest, no doubt Barbie World will win but seeing that the boomer voters at the Grammys love to pick socially charged songs and turn away from anything remotely sexual, I suspect that random song SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS will win. Plus for the voters that expect to hear rap rap, they’re probably going to lean toward Attention or Rich Flex, not Barbie World. 
 

I think Nicki has a better shot in the best song written for visual media category, although DTN and WWIMF are much “safer” songs that the Grammys typically favours.

RRDS and Princess Diana were imo much better rap songs than Barbie World. Grammys are rubbish anyway - they lost credibility the day they snubbed the Weeknd. It’s so obvious the entire process is politicised given how they will nominate Beyoncé for anything and everything, she’d probably get nominated if she were to fart into a mic.

 

the only reason why anyone wants Nicki to still have a Grammy is to shut the haters up but I doubt Nicki herself even cares anymore.

Nicki is not dying for a Grammy, that's for sure, but I'm sure it would still make her happy and just contribute to the "full circle" feeling of this era
