its definitely coming this year. she just liked a tweet about it being an event. also dont believe republic will blow away chance of a hit album now theres a lot of interest and demand. nicki also definitely has the record finished. maybe shes going for a more quick announcement -> release strategy so nobody drops on the same day as her.

The way the rap scene would have a legion of Glorillaz & Coi’s if Nicki wasn’t constantly raising the standard. I’m thankful she’s still here, for industry quality control.
