There's a conversation to be had on the racial element that comes into play with how Nicki is perceived vs Cardi. She will always fit the "angry bw" trope to the masses which Cardi can bypass because she's Dominican

 

I'm not oblivious that ethnicity technically =/= race, but the reality is most people in America do view Latinos as an entirely different/their own entity outside of Black, White, Asian etc. This is especially true in the Northeast region of the country (I know bc I'm Dominican and I grew up in the Northeast primarily amongst Hispanic and Black people) 

 

If Nicki really took it to the level of getting people beat up/threatening to (because Cardi has done both), it would be seen as the worst offense in history but Belca gets away with it bc she's just "feisty" and "really from the hood"

Tbh they are so messy  I just know Nicki's PEN is going hard right now 

She should either drop a diss track and completely obliterate her or never mention her again. Cardi gets so much free promo and headlines because of Nicki, if she never mentions her again she will go away. What is left of her anyway? This album/era is dead, she didn't outsell, she even admitted they shouldn't be compared... let's move on.
