A very reliable source said the following about the upcoming visual album

 

- the album is not predominantly pop but a mix of soft rock , country, pop and alternative 

- some songs feel like an elevated version of dead petz

- all of the songs have a visuals and are all connected through a storyline

- there is a song over 6 minutes long

- no collabs

- the closing track is very upbeat and feels like an encore 

- not the end of the world , golden burning sun , and give me love are all leaks that are part of the album

Miley being announced as the last presenter.  I know it's not that serious since she's listed right next to Miles Teller, but the way she turned from 2010s children show fad to industry darling despite minimal effort to even achieve that is unreal.

 

Public interest in her is at an all time high with her Grammy win + Billy Ray going off the rails (it only makes her look better) + small viral moments (we won Beyonce) + Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations. Its not comparable to her Flowers hype since that went right into the music, but it'll definitely help influence people positively if the new music isn't hit material.

 

The only problem is that she still has no fanbase even after all these huge wins the past 2 years, so we're still fully left to the public really liking her music to make up for everything else. Hoping because she's been so public that this means she and her label are confident in things.

I think it's because of her vast changes both musically and aesthetically. It's hard for her to build a strong supportive fanbase with such a diverse discography (think Xtina during her prime years). It doesn't help that each era is such an extreme shift. 

 

Someone who may be into Bangerz or Younger Now might not be stanning Plastic Hearts or Endless Summer.

 

Either way, as long as she manages to score at least one decent hit each era, she should be fine.
